My beautiful mind longs for the Love of the Lord.

ਗਾਲੀ ਹਰਿ ਨੀਹ� ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Gaalee Har Neehu N Hoe || Rehaao ||

By mere words, the Lord's Love does not come. ||Pause||

ਹਉ ਢੂਢੇਦੀ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਬੀਥੀ ਬੀਥੀ ਪੇਖਾ ॥

Ho Dtoodtaedhee Dharasan Kaaran Beethhee Beethhee Paekhaa ||

I have searched for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, looking in each and every street.

ਗ�ਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਭਰਮ� ਗਵਾਇਆ ਹੇ ॥੧॥

Gur Mil Bharam Gavaaeiaa Hae ||1||

Meeting with the Guru, my doubts have been dispelled. ||1||

ਇਹ ਬ�ਧਿ ਪਾਈ ਮੈ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੰਨਹ� ਲੇਖ� ਲਿਖਿਓ ਧ�ਰਿ ਮਾਥੈ ॥

Eih Budhh Paaee Mai Saadhhoo Kannahu Laekh Likhiou Dhhur Maathhai ||

I have obtained this wisdom from the Holy Saints, according to the pre-ordained destiny inscribed upon my forehead.

ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਨੈਣ ਅਲੋਇ ॥੨॥੧॥੧੮॥

The slanderer, by Guru's Grace, has been turned away.

ਪਾਰਬ�ਰਹਮ ਪ�ਰਭ ਭ� ਦਇਆਲਾ ਸਿਵ ਕੈ ਬਾਣਿ ਸਿਰ� ਕਾਟਿਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

The Supreme Lord God has become merciful; with Shiva's arrow, He shot his head off. ||1||Pause||

ਕਾਲ� ਜਾਲ� ਜਮ� ਜੋਹਿ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਸਚ ਕਾ ਪੰਥਾ ਥਾਟਿਓ ॥

Kaal Jaal Jam Johi N Saakai Sach Kaa Panthhaa Thhaattiou ||

Death, and the noose of death, cannot see me; I have adopted the Path of Truth.

ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਕਿਛ� ਨਿਖ�ਟਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨ� ਧਨ� ਖਾਟਿਓ ॥੧॥

Khaath Kharachath Kishh Nikhuttath Naahee Raam Rathan Dhhan Khaattiou ||1||

I have earned the wealth, the jewel of the Lord's Name; eating and spending, it is never used up. ||1||

ਭਸਮਾ ਭੂਤ ਹੋਆ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਕੀਆ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

Bhasamaa Bhooth Hoaa Khin Bheethar Apanaa Keeaa Paaeiaa ||

In an instant, the slanderer was reduced to ashes; he received the rewards of his own actions.

ਆਗਮ ਨਿਗਮ� ਕਹੈ ਜਨ� ਨਾਨਕ� ਸਭ� ਦੇਖੈ ਲੋਕ� ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੧॥

Aagam Nigam Kehai Jan Naanak Sabh Dhaekhai Lok Sabaaeiaa ||2||6||11||

Servant Nanak speaks the truth of the scriptures; the whole world is witness to it. ||2||6||11||
